The PDF is built inside your browser. The images you choose are never sent to a server, which is why this keeps working once the page has loaded, even offline.
Your photos are not re-compressed
A PDF can hold a JPEG exactly as it is, so that is what happens here: the image data is copied into the document untouched. Nothing is decoded, re-encoded or resized along the way, so the photographs in the PDF are the photographs you started with — not a second-generation copy of them.
That also means the PDF is roughly the size of the images that went into it. A tool that produced something dramatically smaller would have thrown away detail to get there.
How to turn JPGs into a PDF

Choosing a page size
Fit image gives each page the shape of the photo on it, so nothing is cropped and no white borders appear. It is the right choice for a photo album, and it produces pages of mixed sizes when the photos are mixed.
A4 and Letter give every page the same size, with each image centred and scaled to fit. Choose one of these when the document is going to be printed.
Frequently asked questions
Which image formats can I use?
JPEG files — .jpg and .jpeg — which is what phones and cameras produce. PNG and HEIC are not supported: unlike a JPEG, they cannot be placed into a PDF without being converted first, which would mean re-encoding your images and losing the quality this tool exists to preserve.
Will photos taken sideways come out the right way up?
Yes. Cameras record which way the phone was held, and that setting is read and applied when the page is built, so a photo taken in portrait appears in portrait.
Can I change the page order?
Drag the cards. The order you see is the order the pages come out in, and the number on each card tells you which page it will be.
How many photos can I add?
There is no limit set by this tool. Everything happens in your browser, so the practical ceiling is your device's memory — a few hundred photos is comfortable on a laptop.
