Your file stays on your device

Rotating happens inside your browser. The PDF you choose is never sent to a server, which is why this keeps working once the page has loaded, even offline.

How to rotate a PDF

  1. Drop your PDF into the box above, or click to choose it.
  2. Pick which way to turn: right, left, or a half turn.
  3. Leave the pages field empty to turn the whole document, or name the pages that came out sideways.
  4. Select Rotate pages, then download the corrected file.

Turning only some pages

A scan often has just a few pages the wrong way up. Naming them — 3, 7-9 — turns only those and leaves the rest as they are.

Frequently asked questions

Does rotating reduce quality?

No. A PDF page records its own orientation, so turning one changes a single setting rather than redrawing anything. Text stays selectable and images are untouched.

What if a page is already rotated?

Turns add to whatever is already there, the same way a viewer's rotate button behaves. A page lying on its side that you turn right ends upside down.

Can I rotate a password-protected PDF?

Yes. You will be asked for the password when the document is read. The rotated file is not password-protected.
