I have forgotten the password. Can this help?
No. Removing the encryption requires decrypting the document, and that requires the password. Any tool claiming otherwise is either guessing common passwords or removing a different, much weaker kind of restriction.
Does the document change in any other way?
No. Every page, font and image is preserved exactly. The only difference is that the file no longer asks for a password.
Is the unlocked file safe to share?
That is your call, but be aware of what you are sharing: the result opens for anyone who has it. If the password was there to keep the contents private, keep the unlocked copy somewhere you are comfortable with.
